Denver kicks off the rubber-ducky racing season today in a fundraiser for Southeast Denver Public Schools. If you haven’t already been hit up by an elementary school kid to sponsor a duck, you can pitch in $5 at the park before the race. The ducks will be dumped into Goldsmith Gulch at noon, and the sponsors of the first few to cross the finish line can win a prize. Even if your duck doesn’t win, there will be plenty of family-friendly live music, food and environmental exhibits to cheer about for the rest of the afternoon.
