High school sport: Tennis (Class 4A No. 1 singles, 11-0 entering district; also competes on national junior circuit).

Class: Junior.

My favorite subject: Pre-calculus. It’s challenging and fun.

My favorite athlete: Roger Federer.

My favorite team: UNLV basketball. I enjoyed watching them when I lived there.

What I listen to: Hip-hop.

The best thing on my training table: Teriyaki chicken.

Time management tip: I usually write down what I have to do – play tennis to a certain hour; then go running; then homework.

Planned career: Plastic surgeon, considering Stanford.

My family: Parents Jim and Tasha; brother Ashton; sister Nicole.

I would love to visit: Peru.

What I like most about high school sports: The team.Usually when I play it’s in a (national) tournament and it’s just you. Now it’s a team effort.

What I like least about high school sports: Sometimes it gets (too) windy.

The Denver Post recognizes a female and male student-athlete of the week. At the end of the school year, 10 finalists will be chosen. Ultimately, The Post and The Denver Athletic Club will select one boy and one girl as student-athletes of the year, and a substantial donation will be made to a local charity in their names.
