McKenzie Simon, a senior at Littleton High School, has a 3.7 grade-point average.

She is a member of the National Honor Society, is involved in the Model United Nations and plays violin in the pit orchestra for school musicals.

McKenzie performs community service at Sky Ridge Medical Center, offering support to sick children. She has been nominated for the Sky Ridge 2005 National First Humanitarian Volunteer Award.

McKenzie is also a Denver Zoo teen volunteer and a Freedom Service Dogs dog trainer. She has also had career-oriented training with veterinarians and has participated in the Summer Vet and Bugs to Biospheres programs at Colorado State University.

She traveled to Mexico to study Spanish.

McKenzie’s hobbies are skiing, music and theater.

She is in the International Baccalaureate program, taking classes in biology, advanced literature, calculus and music.

McKenzie plans to attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
