A Westminster man is being sought in connection with the death of a seven-month-old girl.
Anthony Dean Stockdale’s name was released today by Westminster police. Police believe he was involved with the death of Brenna Ann Nelson, who was taken to Children’s Hospital on April 26. Hospital staff members called police after determining the child had non-accidental head trauma.
Investigators have spent the past two weeks interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence. They’ve established probably cause for Stockdale’s arrest, on a a $500,000 bond, for child abuse resulting in death.
Investigators believe Stockdale, 35, is currently staying in the south Colorado Springs/Fountain area.
He was last seen driving a 1991 maroon 4-door Buick sedan, with Wyoming licence plate 10-5184.
Stockdale may be looking for work, or recently employed as a mechanic.
Westminster police are advising that members of the public not attempt to approach or apprehend Stockdale directly. Instead, they advise calling police with information about his location.
