The price on Britney Spears’ Manhattan penthouse is dropping faster than her musical career. The New York Observer reports the pop star has reduced the price on her 4,000-square-foot, four-floor apartment for the third time in two years. Spears, 24, bought the apartment in 2002 for $3 million. In 2004, she put it on the market for $6 million. Last year the price dropped to $4.95 million. Now, Spears, an obviously “motivated” homeowner since she admitted Tuesday on “The Late Show With David Letterman” she was indeed pregnant with her second child, wants $4.55 million for the apartment that has three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths.

Caroline Kennedy and her husband, Ed Schlossberg, have sold the Sagaponack home they have owned for 12 years in the Hamptons, The New York Post’s Braden Keil reported. Public records show the Schlossbergs sold the two-story, shingle-style house on 3.2 acres for $5.75 million. Kennedy still owns the 375-acre estate on Martha’s Vineyard she inherited from her mother, Jackie Onassis.

So where does Nicole Kidman, glamorous Hollywood star, go after an interview with Ladies Home Journal? “I’m heading off to Bed, Bath and Beyond. That’s one of my favorite stores,” Kidman said.

Johnny Depp, below, has sued the city of West Hollywood to stop construction of a Sunset Strip shopping center he claims will ruin the view of Los Angeles from his Hollywood Hills home, the Los Angeles Times reported. The city ruled against the actor last year, and the case is being appealed by Depp’s sister and personal assistant, Christi Dembrowski. Ironically, Depp lives in France most of the time with his wife, French singer Vanessa Paradis, and their two children. Seems Depp wants to have his cake and eat it too – from France.
