The University of Colorado regents named interim president Hank Brown as the school’s permanent leader today.

Brown was the sole finalist for the job and today’s confirmation was unanimous.

He will receive a salary of $360,000 and a housing allowance of $47,000. He will not receive a car allowance, at his request.

By comparison, former CU President Elizabeth Hoffman made $400,000 and was provided a house and car.

“I am very honored to have this opportunity and deeply grateful,” Brown said today.
