Two drivers were seriously injured this afternoon in a vehicle crash on a blind curve on Hwy. 119 just south of Black Hawk.
A casino bus carrying 13 passengers was northbound but veered into the southbound lanes for some reason. A utility truck couldn’t avoid the bus and the two crashed.
The bus slid into the side of the mountain, and the truck stopped on the shoulder. Both drivers were airlifted to a hospital. Six passengers were taken to a hospital by ambulance.
Names and conditions of the injured were not released.
Immediately after the crash a 1994 Subaru was southbound on 119 and came upon the scene. The car swerved into the shoulder, then rebounded back to the road and hit a Yamaha motorcycle. Both drivers seemed to be OK but went to a hospital to be checked out.
The crash happened around 2 p.m. The highway was expected to remain closed, in both directions, for several hours.
