The defending champion UCLA men’s tennis team swept Colorado from the NCAA Tournament’s second round with a 4-0 victory Sunday at the Los Angeles Tennis Center in what might be the Buffs’ final match in their history. The No. 10-ranked Bruins (19-5) advanced to the round of 16 at Stanford starting Friday. No. 23 Colorado finished 20-9. UCLA’s Benjamin Kohlloeffel, the No. 1-ranked player in the country, downed CU’s Eric Molnar 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles to lead the Bruins.

Grady leads CU golfers to ninth in Oklahoma

Colorado sophomore Patrick Grady posted a career- best 205 score and finished tied for fourth place after the third and final round of the 15th annual Perry Maxwell Intercollegiate at the 6,442-yard Dornick Hills Country Club in Ardmore, Okla. CU finished ninth with 834. Grady’s final-round 1-under-par 69 tied him with SMU’s Colt Knost. Oklahoma State’s Jonathan Moore (196) and Zack Robinson (203) took the top two spots and the Cowboys topped the team leaderboard at 785.

Northern Colorado baseball sweeps Kansas

The Northern Colorado baseball team completed a two-game weekend sweep of Kansas with a 7-4 win on Sunday at the Jayhawk Classic in Lawrence, Kan.

It was the Bears’ first sweep of a Big 12 team. UNC (17-30) never trailed in the 18 innings against Kansas (35-23) after winning 8-7 on Saturday.
