Colorado Crush offensive specialist Damian Harrell and two teammates were honored Wednesday by the Arena Football League.

Harrell, who set a league record this season with 61 touchdowns, was named to the all-AFL first team. His 152 receptions and 366 points also led the league.

Crush defensive specialist Rashad Floyd and kicker Clay Rush were named to the second team. Floyd set a league record with 136 1/2 tackles this season and won defensive player of the week honors two consecutive weeks.

Rush made 49 consecutive extra-point attempts while going 101-of-108 overall. He was 7-of-13 on field goals.

In special recognition by the AFL’s historical committee, the Crush’s ArenaBowl title team of 2005 was voted into a tie for 15th of the 20 greatest teams in league history. – Irv Moss

Wyoming coach hires two assistants

Assistant coaches Kristin Becker and Katie Kern have been added to the staff of University of Wyoming women’s basketball coach Joe Legerski.

Becker, out of coaching the last two seasons, was an assistant at Kansas State from 1998-2004. She also was the Wildcats’ recruiting coordinator. Kern was the top assistant at Alaska-Anchorage the last three seasons.
