Las Vegas – Officials from Chicago-based Landmark Properties Corp. say they’ve received positive response from retailers interested in space at their planned 1 million-square-foot retail center in Frederick.
The project will cover 123 acres at the northwest corner of Interstate 25 and Colorado 52. Landmark plans to construct Frederick Town Center in phases over three to five years but has not revealed a more specific timeline. The project has not yet broken ground.
Landmark declined to name the potential tenants it met with during the International Council of Shopping Centers’ spring convention.
The company’s plan calls for a mix of big- box anchors, smaller boutiques and entertainment venues, said Lisa Callahan, senior vice president of development for Landmark Properties.
She also revealed that the company is planning another project in Littleton but declined to provide details on the location or size because it has not yet submitted its plans to the city.
The projects would be the first in Colorado for Landmark, which has developed throughout the country.
The site of the Frederick project would be north of what will be highly competitive retail developments – each more than 1 million square feet – in Thornton, Broomfield and Westminster.
