The Broncos signed linebacker Kevin Harrison, running back Marty Johnson and defensive tackle Bryan Save on Tuesday.
From the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe, Harrison (6-feet, 245 pounds) was second in tackles (61) and had two sacks in 10 games (five starts). Johnson (6-0, 225) ranked fifth in NFL Europe in rushing yards last season with 424 yards on 101 carries (4.2 average).
A graduate of Colorado State, Save (6-1, 313) started for the Cologne Centurions in each of the past two NFL Europe seasons. He led the team last season with 4.5 sacks and had 35 tackles in nine games. He was an all-Mountain West Conference player in 2003 with the Rams, as he led the team with seven sacks, one fumble recovery and one fumble-recovery touchdown.
Mammoth celebration June 9
To celebrate its National Lacrosse League championship, the Colorado Mammoth will host a party for fans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, at CityLights Pavilion on the Pepsi Center grounds.
There will be music, food and drink specials, face painters and balloons, and the championship presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. An autograph session will follow, in which fans will have the opportunity to take pictures with players and the Champion’s Cup. Parking and admission will be free.
