Gross closure
Parts of the south shore of Gross Reservoir will be closed Saturday and Sunday to accommodate trail work. Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado will participate in restoration of the Osprey Trail, which necessitates closure of the Haul Road. This includes the boat launch at Osprey Point, along with Miramonte picnic area and other parts of the south shore. Other recreational opportunities at the reservoir west of Boulder are not affected.
Hunter outreach
The Colorado Division of Wildlife will offer training for volunteers who wish to participate in its Hunter Outreach Program during the coming months. The program offers education for youth and novice hunters. Training workshops for volunteers will be today, June 13 and July 18. Huntmaster sessions will be June 10-11 and Aug. 5-6. Sheep, goat skills
A free seminar for hunters who wish to improve their skills for hunting bighorn sheep and Rocky Mountain goats will be July 8 at Denver Merchandise Mart. The event is open only to those who have drawn a license for the 2006 season. Invitations will be mailed in early June.
