James Love of the University of Denver shot an even-par 72 Saturday in the final round of the NCAA championship at Crosswater Club at Sunriver Resort in Oregon, finishing in a tie for 20th at even-par 288.
Love, who qualified as an individual, finished 12 strokes behind medalist Jonathan Moore of Oklahoma State, who shot a 69 and finished four strokes ahead of Chris Kirk of Georgia and Kyle Reifers of Wake Forest.

Walters State (Tenn.) Community College won its first Junior College World Series title Saturday in Grand Junction, defeating Yavapai (Ariz.) College 7-6.
Justin Pickett tied the game with a leadoff home run in the top of the eighth, and Zac Bowman scored the winning run on a groundout.
