TRAVELIN’ MAN

Eating healthy meals and exercising when
traveling for business or pleasure isn’t easy,
but Peter Greenberg, travel editor of NBC’s
“The Today Show,” shed pounds and gained
techniques for getting fit while researching
“The Traveler’s Diet: Eating
Right and Staying Fit on the
Road.” Greenberg reports on the
food and fitness opportunities in
hotel chains, airlines and at 14
airports (Chicago O’Hare had the
most healthy choices; DIA came
in at No. 6). The best foods to
pack for a flight, he writes, are
water, unsalted nuts, raw veggies,
string cheese, dried fruit,
fresh fruit, granola bars,
hard-boiled eggs,
sports drinks, yogurt
and dry cereal.
