NEW YORK (AP)–The Four Seasons Resort in Punta Mita, Mexico, was named No. 1 among golf resorts by Conde Nast Traveler magazine.
The list, which appears in the magazine's June issue, ranked resorts based on their scores for course design, speed of play, accommodations, service, dining and facilities. Rankings were based on reviews by readers.
The Four Seasons Resort got a 96.7 score out of 100 and was one of three Four Seasons in the top 10 list.
Following the Punta Mita resort on the list were:
–American Club in Kohler, Wis.
–Westin Turnberry Resort in Ayrshire, Scotland.
–Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, on Hawaii's Big Island.
–The Homestead, Hot Springs, Va.
–Four Seasons Resort, Nevis, the Caribbean.
–The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs, W. Va.
–Inn at Bay Harbor, Bay Harbor, Mich.
–Gleneagles, Auchterarder, Scotland.
–Lodge at Sea Island, St. Simons Island, Ga.
