IT’S NO SWEAT|Male and female executives who work out score higher on such qualities as leadership skills, vision, trustworthiness, energy and ability to work with others, according to a study by the Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado Springs, “You don’t have to give up exercise in order to get ahead in the workplace,” study author Sharon McDowell-Larsen told Women’s Health magazine.
SPARE THE BROOM, HELP THE CHILD|Babies exposed to common household dust may be protected against developing asthma later in life, according to a study of 810 young children in the Netherlands reported on in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Researchers found that those with the greatest exposure to dust in infancy were less likely than others to have chronic wheezing or asthma by age 4.
