It was a night of chivalry, romance and adventure when Special Olympics Colorado inducted new members into its Hall of Fame. “Tales of Triumph: An Evening of True Fables” was the theme as Mindy Watrous, SOC’s president and CEO, introduced the athletes and individuals honored this year.
She offered stories of inner strength, discovery, teamwork and freedom as a ballroom filled with family members, sponsors, board members and professional athletes resounded with enthusiastic applause.
The inductees were Tammy Davidson, Outstanding Female Athlete; Matthew Mighan, Outstanding Male Athlete; Rick Lovato, Outstanding Coach; Jason and Valerie Koenig, Outstanding Volunteers; the Daltons, Outstanding Family; American National Bank, Outstanding Business; Collbran Job Corp., Outstanding Organization; Matt Haviland, Outstanding Unified Sports Partner; and Charlie Monfort, Outstanding Business Person.
