New York -based marketing firm OgilvyOne North America announced Wednesday it has acquired Broomfield- based Leopard, a business-to- business marketing agency, in a move to offer its clients a wider variety of sales and marketing tools.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
“Strategically, we fit together very well,” said Sherri Leopard, the company’s founder. “This is a way for us to be able to deliver services that our customers need on a global basis.”
The two companies share several key clients, including IBM and SAP.
“We’ve known Sherri for a long time. We’ve worked side-by-side at IBM,” said Carla Hendra, president of OgilvyOne. “We feel there is a lot of potential here.”
Leopard was founded in 1984 and employs roughly 110 people locally. Sherri Leopard will remain in her position as chief executive, and Leopard will continue to be based in Broomfield.
“The people I have on my team love living in Colorado. They’ve made a lifestyle choice,” said Leopard, adding that she expects the acquisition to help the company expand its client base. “We’re already in discussions with (OgilvyOne) on potential opportunities with their other clients.”
Leopard had revenues of $11.5 million last year and net assets valued at $2.6 million.
OgilvyOne, a subsidiary of the WWP Group, has 115 offices in 56 countries.
Both companies were named to B-to-B Magazine’s Top Agencies list for 2006.
