The average hourly wage for workers in the Denver-Boulder-Greeley area was $22.75 an hour in June 2005, compared with $21.94 an hour in June 2004, according to a new study.
That’s an increase of 3.69 percent, but some categories appeared to show declines.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics on Wednesday provided a snapshot of hourly wages as part of its National Compensation Survey.
An exact comparison of wages year-to-year in individual categories is difficult because the businesses and categories surveyed can change, the bureau said. The study showed that engineers, college instructors and financial managers are among the highest-paid workers in the Denver area.
