Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler, have contracted to buy a $30 million penthouse under construction in the Columbus Circle area, the New York Post’s Brandon Keil reported. The 5,500-square-foot, five- bedroom, 5 1/2-bath duplex apartment, expected to be completed early next year, is a few floors above Denzel Washington’s $12 million, 3,000- square-foot apartment.
The Battery Park City apartment used in the E! network series “Gastineau Girls” is on the market for $3.4 million, the Post reported. Lisa and Brittny Gastineau were renting the four-bedroom, 3,000-square-foot condo but have moved to Midtown. The apartment features views of the Hudson River, marble bathrooms, a large terrace and a chef’s kitchen.
Ivana Trump has decided she no longer wants to build a luxury skyscraper in Las Vegas to rival former husband Donald Trump’s own project, the Las Vegas Review Journal reported. The Donald’s Trump International Hotel & Tower is being constructed on the Strip. Trump partner Jack Wishna said, “(Ivana’s) project, which was scrapped months ago and all deposits returned to investors, has been shuttered, and a big ‘For Sale’ sign hangs over it.”
The latest gimmick in selling luxury New York condos? Parties featuring performances by the likes of John Legend and Seal. The New York Post reported a developer of 170 East End Ave., a family-friendly building, sponsored an invitation-only concert in Carl Schurz Park with kiddie favorite Laurie Berkner and her band, plus carnival games, face painting and cotton candy.
Owen Wilson told Maxim magazine about the one job for which he was not suited. “I was a pool cleaner one summer in Dallas … I developed an unorthodox style where I got into the pool to clean it. I don’t think people liked to look out their window and see their pool boy actually in the pool. I ended up quitting.”
