Carson, Calif. – The Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse got five goals from all-star Mike Law and their best defensive effort of the season to down the Los Angeles Riptide 17-7 at the Home Depot Center.

The Outlaws (6-2, 12 points) extended their lead in the Western Conference over San Francisco (5-2, 10 points). Los Angeles (2-5) leads only Chicago (0-8, 0 points) in the West.

Josh Sims scored four points for Denver on two goals and an assist. He also hit his MLL-best sixth two-point goal of the season. Outlaws goalie Trevor Tierney made 18 saves for his sixth win. His 10 saves in the first half helped Denver hold the Riptide to two goals before intermission.
