Hilary Duff was humiliated by an unflattering photo of her and an unnamed magazine’s claim that she was “puffing up.” Duff blames windy conditions and a stylish outfit. “It was windy and the scarf was blowing away from me. At the time I wasn’t skinny, but I wasn’t fat either, and this magazine comes out saying, ‘Hilary Duff Puffs Up.’ I was so embarrassed!” She says the same magazine later ran a story titled “Oh, No! Now Hilary’s a Stick Figure!” Duff noted: “You can never make those people happy, so you just have to make yourself happy.”

Kylie Minogue, in her first television interview since being diagnosed with breast cancer, said she was determined to continue her grueling “Showgirl” tour after hearing the news last year. Her family, she told British TV host Cat Deeley, persuaded her to stop the tour. “The moment my doctors told me, I went silent,” the Australian singer said in the interview that aired Sunday on Sky One in the U.K.. “We all fell to pieces, but I was saying, ‘No, I’m getting a plane,’ and they said, ‘No, you’re not, sit down.”‘ Minogue said she has been working on a new album, but has been careful not to add undue stress. “We’re taking one baby step at a time. It’s early days, and I’m not sure what shape things are going to take.”
