Best meal: There are many delicious restaurants sprinkled about the resort property. Be sure to take advantage of the fresh seafood, and no trip to the Bahamas is complete without sampling conch. Conch fritters, conch soup, conch grits, etc.
Best deal: When you have tired of the sun, there are free movies in the resort movie theater daily. There is a late-afternoon G-rated movie for the kids, an early evening PG movie, and a nighttime PG-13 or R movie for adults.
Best time to go: Spring break was very busy – the crowds were competing for poolside lounge chairs daily. If your schedule allows, a pre-spring-break trip (January-early March) would probably be best.
Best travel tip: Don’t rent a car. Taxis are plentiful, reasonable and very safe. Be prepared to enjoy; we have never encountered such warm hospitality by local residents in any of our travels.
