An Aurora firefighter was injured while fighting a condominium fire that gutted one unit this morning.
The fire, at the Pier Point Condominiums, 4072 S. Atchison Way, was reported at 7:37 a.m.
A third-floor unit was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived five minutes later, according to the agency.
It took crews about 15 minutes to bring it under control.
One firefighter suffered a minor ankle injury.
In addition to the gutted unit, the building sustained structural damage in the attic and roof areas.
The Red Cross is helping three people who lived in the unit.
The rest of the building is still habitable, according to the Aurora Fire Department.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
