Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper has said for several years that it was important to make Denver a “cool city.” Well, I saw some construction on Wednesday that’s helping Hick be true to his mission.

The Golden Row is a name given to a development project at 1128-1136 Cherokee St. – in the heart of the Golden Triangle of Denver proper, just south of the Denver Art Museum and its new, soon-to-be-world-famous addition.

Expensively cool. But, without doubt, very cool.

The project comprises six, single-family, multi-level townhomes that will be priced initially from $1.9 million to $2.3 million. The first of the homes will be ready for occupancy in August, said builder/developer Peter Barnes.
