A construction worker survived being electrocuted in Aurora this morning when he touched metal rods on a fork lift, officials say.

The construction accident took place at 9:30 a.m. on top of a roof at 3060 S. Havana St. when the rods touched power lines, Capt. Mike Ackman of the Aurora Fire Department said.

Initially, Denver firefighting crews responded, but when firefighters realized the address fell within Aurora city limits, Aurora paramedics took over, Ackman said.
