Colorado’s foreclosure rate No. 1 in U.S. in 2nd quarter
Colorado recorded the highest foreclosure rate in the nation in the second quarter, according to RealtyTrac, a California provider of foreclosure listings.
One of every 158 homes was in some stage of foreclosure during the quarter in Colorado, compared with one in 425 nationally.
The top ranking was not unexpected, given that Colorado has led the nation on that measure for the past four months running. Colorado took the top spot from Georgia, which led the nation in the first quarter.
Overall, the pace of foreclosures in both Colorado and the U.S. showed signs of slowing in the second quarter over the first quarter.
