Country-music giant KYGO 98.5-FM continued its reign as Denver’s No.1 radio station among listeners 12 and up, according to the Arbitron spring ratings, released today.
KYGO also was top-ranked among listeners 25-54. It outdistanced its nearest rival, KQKS 107.5-FM, a hip-hop station, by a full share, 6.6 to 5.6, among all listeners, and beat KBCO, 7.2 to 6.3, in the 25-54 age group.
Many local stations experienced a slight decline in listenership from the winter rankings. One that didn’t was newcomer KWLI 92.5-FM (“Willie”), which went on the air in February. It’s share moved up from 1.6 to 2.6. Talk station KHOW 630-AM had a healthy .4 increase.
Absent from the top 16 overall was Spanish-language KBNO 1280-AM, which had been enjoying high ratings.
