
Dave Flerlage graduated with honors from Columbine High School in May.
At Columbine, Dave was co-president and co-founder of the math club, representing Columbine at the American Invitational Mathematics Competition.
He was a member of the National Honor Society for two years and volunteered for school activities, such as the Halloween program for community children.
During his last semester, Dave took five Advanced Placement courses – in German, physics, biology, calculus and English.
Dave played defense for the varsity team of the Columbine Hockey Club.
Dave graduated with a 3.96 grade-point average. He was accepted early by Columbia University in New York to attend the School of Engineering and Applied Science to study biology and genetics.
