Mountain bike races

The National Off Road Biking Association, or NORBA, National Mountain Bike Championships will be Saturday and Aug. 13 on Snowmass Mountain. The series is North America’s biggest and most prestigious mountain bike event. Visit norbanationals.com.

Ridgway arts festival

The 22nd annual Ridgway Arts and Crafts Rendezvous will be Saturday and Aug. 13 in Ridgway’s Town Park. There will be 150 vendors, food concessions and family fun. Admission is free. Call 800-220-4959.

Indian Market itinerary out

The Southwestern Association for Indian Arts has released the official schedule of events for the 2006 Santa Fe Indian Market. The Toast of Taos

The Southwest Wine Competition is the centerpiece of the first Toast of Taos Aug. 16-20, sponsored by the Holy Cross Hospital Foundation. Veterans motorcycle rally

The Salute to American Vets in Cripple Creek will run 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 17-20. Activities include more than 150 vendors, concerts, an Aug. 19 black-tie reception and dinner to honor veterans and, on Aug. 20, a military parade and a procession of more than 8,000 motorcycles.
