The Rashaun Woods era in Denver never began.
Woods failed his physical with the team on Thursday morning. He has had hamstring issues and was struggling with the injury before he was waived by San Diego on Tuesday. Woods was a first-round pick by San Francisco in 2004. He was traded to the Chargers this offseason.
To take Woods’ spot on the roster, Denver signed running back Damien Nash. Running back Marty Johnson was waived Wednesday when Woods was claimed. At 5-foot-10 and 220 pounds, Nash was waived by Tennessee on Monday. He was a fifth-round pick out of Missouri in 2005.
