DenverPost.com’s sounding board for enthusiasts of the Denver Broncos reenters the blogosphere this week, just in time for tonight’s preseason opener against the Lions at Detroit. You can find “All Things Broncos” in , and it will be updated throughout the season.

Having last appeared during Jan. 22 with Denver Post staff columnist Jim Armstrong sharing his observations from the press box, “All Things Broncos” starts a new season with a stock of news and notes from The Post’s Broncos reporters, Mike Klis and Bill Williamson.

At times, team-related tidbits wander beyond the sports page, so we’ll be sure to include some of those items that might have escaped you. In addition, the blog will scour cyberspace in search of Broncos-related minutiae pertaining to division rivals and upcoming games.

These update typically hit our Broncos and Sports pages at 3 p.m., although the Broncos-Lions game interferes with the daily schedule until Sunday.

From the columns

“Proudly wearing USA across his chest, forward Carmelo Anthony sprawled for a loose basketball with disregard for his health or the hefty $80 million investment made in him by the Nuggets. He got hurt.”

From the mailbags

“There’s no question that the future of the franchise rests on the development of the young players. If the kids get good, the team will be transformed for years to come. If they bust, the franchise will be trapped in a vicious cycle, not unlike the Pirates, Royals and Devil Rays.”

From the message boards

“The Broncos organization has been to 6 Superbowls (won 2), 8 AFC Championship games (won 6) and has been a competitive team constantly in the playoffs since the late 70s. Yet we have only 1 hall of famer?” — Savviest
