Two men including a man who was stabbed multiple times pounded on a door of an Aurora home early Tuesday morning looking for help, officials say.
The stabbing victim, whose name has not been released, was in critical condition at an area hospital following the assault, said Marcus Dudley, Aurora police spokesman.
At about 2:45 a.m., dispatchers received an emergency call from a home on the 1300 block of Kingston Street, Dudley said. The homeowner said a man who was bleeding heavily had come to the door.
The injured man was immediately taken to University Hospital in Denver for treatment, Dudley said.
The man was in surgery and was in extremely critical condition, he said.
The other man who also knocked on the door is being interviewed by investigators, but he has not offered much assistance to the detectives investigating the case, Dudley said.
In a separate incident in Aurora, two men were shot, one in the shoulder and the other in the arm, Dudley said.
Police were called to Windsor Court Apartments, 10988 E. 16th Ave., at 11:30 p.m. Monday, he said. Neither of the men appear to have life threatening injuries, he said.
Both shooting victims were not very cooperative with police in describing what happened, Dudley said.
