Tom Cruise recently whisked his fiancée Katie Holmes’ family in his private plane to his Telluride home to reconnect with his soon-to-be in-laws, according to the National Enquirer. Cruise flew in the clan after an “emotional showdown” with Holmes, the gossip sheet reported. A family source said, Cruise “didn’t talk Scientology once.”
Kevin Federline, in an interview with GQ magazine for its September issue, claims patience has paid off in his marriage to Britney Spears. “She thought she could play me,” K-Fed said in the issue due out Tuesday. “She was playing games, testing me to see where my head is at, see if she could get away with this or that.” Federline also claimed a musical collaboration with Britney has been recorded. Meanwhile, MSNBC.com reports Federline “treasures” the pitter-patter sounds of little feet. A source said when Federline learned he had to sign a pre-nup he “looked sort of bummed out. But then the lawyer explained that for every child the two of you have together, you would receive X amount of dollars. His eyes really lit up.” Ka-ching, K-Fed!
London tabloid the Sun apologized for printing 3-year-old photos of Princes William and Harry partying at a trendy nightclub Tuesday. Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have amicably settled most of their differences in their divorce, their lawyers claim. Sheen’s lawyer, Lance Spiegel, said issues in the proceedings – including custody of the couple’s two daughters – were resolved after a closed-door session with Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Marjorie Steinberg, according to the Hollywood Reporter. In a related matter, Richards painted herself a small-town girl who did not grasp Sheen’s tawdry past. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Richards said: “I’ve never done drugs, never been around a prostitute, never known any porn stars. I couldn’t even fathom that lifestyle. I grew up in Illinois, not L.A.”

Speaking of secrets, Brad Garrett told USA Today he and his wife of seven years, Jill Diven, managed to amicably separate and divorce this past year without anyone noticing. Did Owen Wilson help break up Kate Hudson’s marriage to rocker Chris Robinson? That’s the rumor being floated by Us Weekly, the same magazine that claimed – incorrectly – Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn were engaged. Hudson, 27, and the Black Crowes singer announced their split Monday. Us Weekly claims Hudson and Wilson, who co-star in the recent film “You, Me and Dupree,” got to be close during filming and she spent the past few weeks at Wilson’s Santa Monica, Calif., home. Wilson’s lawyer said in a statement: “(Anything) that suggests that the separation of Ms. Hudson was caused by Mr. Wilson … is absolutely false.”
Lance Bass’ boyfriend, Reichen Lehmkuhl, has moved in with the *NSYNC singer, a rep for Bass confirmed to the New York Post. Lehmkuhl, a real estate broker and winner of half of the $1 million “Amazing Race 4” prize with his then-partner Chip Arndt in 2003, is trying to sell his Culver City, Calif., house. The home was listed in “pre-foreclosure” on defaultresearch.com. Lehmkuhl’s lawyer said the home is “in escrow, not foreclosure.”
