Two people were killed Saturday night when their ultralight plane crashed in a field south of Fort Collins.
The plane slammed into in an open field a half-mile south of Trilby Road on County Road 19 just before 7:30 Saturday, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s department.
No one on the ground was injured.
A boy and his father witnessed the accident and told investigators they saw it spiraling and initially weren’t sure if the plane was in trouble or just performing a stunt.
