Tyler McBride graduated in June from Broomfield High School with a 4.29 weighted grade-point average.
Tyler was named all-state and all-conference academics for the past three years.
He competed in football, basketball and baseball, earning eight varsity letters. He was all- conference in football and baseball and was captain for both teams.
Outside of school, Tyler is active in his church, where he served as an alter boy and now mentors alter servers. Tyler also was involved in starting the Healing Fields in Broomfield last year.
Tyler has received a number of honors, including the Baldwin- Willis Athletic Excellence Award, the Presidential Scholarship and the Pacesetters Award for Broomfield High School. He has been in 4-H Club since third grade and received numerous awards for showing livestock and wool.
He was on the honor roll for four years.
Tyler was accepted to West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy and the Merchant Marine Academy.
He will attend the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in the fall, where he will play baseball and major in biological sciences.
