For more than 50 years now, the fine folks at K’s Dairy Delite in Buena Vista have served cones, shakes, dogs, burgers and tots to the biggest Hollywood names. It doesn’t seem to bother anyone when a grinning girl grabs Jim Carrey’s burger. And it’s doubtful the diet soda on the counter really belongs to Humphrey Bogart, who never would order anything diet. Place your order at K’s and your food will be tagged with stardom. The raft-riding summer crowds eat up the name-calling as eagerly as they do K’s tasty fare. Look for the blue 1927 Chevy parked out front along Highway 24 and do not miss K’s slow-cooked chili.
