There’s a digital countdown clock on themwc.cstv.com website for tonight’s 7 p.m. debut of the Mountain West Conference-dedicated network, The mtn.
Those webmasters should be prepared for overtime. Outside of the already announced Comcast areas in Colorado, New Mexico and Utah and Bresnan in Wyoming, the rest of the Mountain West, along with satellite subscribers everywhere, will not have access.
There may not be much of a pressing issue to get on Cox cable in San Diego and Las Vegas and Time Warner in Fort Worth, Texas, because San Diego State, UNLV and TCU aren’t scheduled for games on The mtn. for several weeks.
Saturday’s Weber State-Colorado State game will be the first to air on the new network. The mtn. will be carried on Channel 412 for Comcast subscribers with the digital classic tier.
