SOME GRAND EATS
Cafe Biltmore
356 Main St., Grand Junction, 970-263-4354
Put a little Spanish sizzle into your next visit to the Western Slope with a stop at this colorful café on downtown Grand Junction’s main drag. The specialty here is tapas. The date-wrapped figs are a delicious combination of a sweet wrapped in smoky-pork goodness. Other must-try items include the tilapia fritters and the mojo potatoes trimmed with a zesty chipotle cream. The wine list emphasizes offerings from Spain and best bets from local vineyards. But night owls hoping to revel in a true, late-night Spanish experience be warned: The Biltmore closes at 11 p.m.
