
Michelle Smith is a 2006 Boettcher Scholar. She graduated this year from Gateway High School in Aurora after only three years of high school.
Michelle was involved in the student council and was the freshman vice president and the sophomore president. She was a student senator and helped plan and conduct class meetings and activities.
As a Future Business Leader of America, she participated in community-service projects and competed in state and regional competitions.
Michelle was a three-year letterman in orchestra, playing first chair cello and performing in seasonal concerts, continental league and district orchestra.
At Aurora Dance Arts, she studied numerous forms of dance and performed in several productions annually, including “The Nutcracker” and “The Wizard of Oz.” Michelle was on the tennis and swimming teams as well as pompom squad.
She plans to major in either biochemistry or psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
