Colorado ski resorts accounted for six of the top 10 North American ski resorts in Ski Magazine’s annual “Top 50 Resort Guide,” which will be on newsstands Sept. 26.
Three of Vail Resorts Inc.’s mountains made the list, with Vail coming in first, Breckenridge ranking sixth and Beaver Creek eighth. Two of Aspen Skiing’s resorts made the list: Snowmass came in third and Aspen was seventh. Steamboat Ski Resort was ranked ninth.
Resorts were ranked in 19 categories, including terrain/variety, value and access. A record 6,000 Ski subscribers responded to the survey.
