Northrop Grumman Corp. plans to break ground today on a 75,000-square-foot office building on its Aurora campus that will house about 300 employees as the company grows.

The company’s Aurora operation is part of its mission systems sector and develops hardware and software systems for the U.S. government for homeland security, national defense and intelligence programs.

Northrop Grumman said the facility will allow it to add about 200 new positions in the next two years. Grumman has about 2,700 employees in Colorado, including about 1,000 in Aurora.
