Castle Rock – A man confessed on a audiotape that he killed his wife and stepdaughter because of marital problems, including financial troubles, Castle Rock Police Chief Tony Lane said.
Joseph Blecha, 49, said he transported the bodies of Jacqueline Blecha, 46, and Ashley Martin, 15, from their home in the 5800 block of South Rock Creek Drive to east of Hugo in Lincoln County, Lane said.
“He admits to shooting them,” he said. “He shows some remorse.”
The tape was found next to Joseph Blecha’s body, Lane said. Joseph Blecha said he killed his wife and stepdaughter in their home and killed himself on Sept. 6, Lane said.
Detectives believe he killed his family sometime the day before, he said.
