A man who authorities allege fatally shot a co-worker at a Parker construction site was arrested in Albuquerque on Wednesday.
Richard Jaime Sanchez was arrested hours after the shooting, said Elise Penington, spokeswoman for the town of Parker.
The shooting occurred about 7:45 a.m. as the victim was getting his tools out and ready to work, Penington said.
The victim was shot several times, she said.
The construction site is near Longs Way and Dransfeldt Road.
It was not immediately clear what precipitated the shooting, Penington said.
The name of the victim was not released because his family had not been notified.
