Denver-based Exclusive Resorts announced Monday that it has formed a partnership with tennis stars Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf to co-develop resort real estate and tennis centers.
The luxury destination club will work with Agassi Graf Development to create resort communities that will feature tennis and fitness as central amenities. Some will offer Agassi- Graf Tennis and Fitness Centers.
The first three locales the group is pursuing are Costa Rica, Southern California and Las Vegas, Agassi’s hometown, according to Brent Handler, president of Exclusive Resorts.
“We are actively looking for real estate to purchase together,” he said. “And we’re really looking forward to having Andre and Steffi help us with our family tennis and fitness programs. They bring a lot of expertise.”
Exclusive Resorts is the largest destination club in the burgeoning travel segment, with nearly 2,400 members. Its portfolio of roughly 300 properties has a combined value of more than $800 million.
Agassi ended his 21-year professional tennis career earlier this month. He also will serve as a senior adviser to Exclusive Resorts, consulting on destination selection and writing a newsletter for members.
Agassi and Graf, his wife, announced earlier this month that they also plan to co-develop a luxury ski-in, ski-out hotel and condo project at Idaho’s Tamarack Resort.
