Courtney Love is back to her controversial ways. Love has posed as the Virgin Mary while cradling a dying Jesus Christ, who looks a lot like her late husband Kurt Cobain. The Sun reports Love modeled for the cover of fashion and celebrity photographer David LaChapelle’s new book, “Heaven to Hell.” The book is the third volume in LaChapelle’s trilogy of provocative images of celebrities that have included Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Elton John and Marilyn Manson.
Are Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes prepared to repeat the same mistake that befell Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez? Life and Style Weekly magazine reports Cruise is devoted “to putting together a project that will not only make Katie a bona fide star, but will put him back in the good graces of the moviegoing public.” Let’s hope the title is not “Gigli 2.”
Lindsay Lohan has been forgiven. Just two months after reprimanding the young actress for being “irresponsible and unprofessional,” Morgan Creek film studio CEO James G. Robinson has changed his tune. Robinson told Celebrity Week magazine, “(Lohan is) professional. She’s on her mark and she knows her lines. She doesn’t complain and she’s very cooperative. (My) only rub with Lindsay was she was missing time and she was coming to work late most of the time. And that causes problems on the set.”
Kate Hudson “is filing for divorce imminently,” a friend told Us Weekly magazine. Hudson announced she and husband Chris Robinson were splitting six weeks ago. Hudson and her “You, Me and Dupree” co-star Owen Wilson reportedly are an item. “As soon as she files, it relieves a lot of the pressure of going out with Owen,” the friend told the magazine.
Jaime Pressly told Us Weekly she and her DJ boyfriend, Eric Cubiche, are engaged. The “My Name is Earl” co-star told the magazine, “Eric’s been my best friend for nine years. When you’re ready, you’re ready. And we are.”
Tony Danza is splitting with wife of 20 years Tracy Robinson, the National Enquirer reported. The couple have two children. The marriage, Danza’s second, may have failed after Danza’s syndicated daytime talk show was canceled.
Speaking of failed marriages, Kathy Griffin had a reminder of her five-year relationship with ex-hubby Matt Moline removed. Griffin had a tattooed wedding band on her ring finger lasered off, she told Us Weekly.
Christina Aguilera sent a $570 gift bag for Britney Spears’ new son, according to Life & Style. So, it looks like their famous feud is over. The gift bag included a hooded towel, overalls, slippers and a crockery set, the magazine reported. Sutton Pierce Federline shares a room with 1-year-old brother Sean Preston, which cost Spears $100,000 to redecorate in blue with nautical themes, Life & Style wrote.
Joe Simpson is mad at a “Jackass.” After “Jackass” star Bam Margera claimed he had sex with Simpson’s daughter, Jessica, when she was still married to Nick Lachey, Joe Simpson was quoted by ananova.com saying, “as a father, I want to go beat the (expletive) out of people who say things like this.” Margera claimed on Howard Stern’s radio show last week he and Jessica went back to her parents’ Los Angeles home in April 2005 and “we were just drinking margaritas and stuff, and you know, from there …”
Avril Lavigne showed she doesn’t give a spit about the paparazzi. Celebrating her 22nd birthday Tuesday night, Lavigne was exiting Los Angeles’ Hyde nightclub with husband Deryck Whibley and friends when photographers accosted the group. Lavigne then hurled a loogie at a snapper for TMZ.com.
