Little Bangkok: Tucked into the far end of an arcade behind an ice cream shop in downtown Colorado Springs, Little Bangkok takes a little perseverance to find. And the interior is definitely not contemporary or spotless. But the rough edges are worth it for a plate of pad goong num dang (jumbo shrimp in a spicy, savory red sauce) and a sweet Thai iced tea.|109 E. Ba Le Sandwich: Think of a Banh Mi, the house specialty here, as a French-Vietnamese hoagie: a
fresh-baked crusty-but-delicate sandwich-sized baguette stuffed with savory fillings like paté or sour
pork and crispy spiced vegetables like cucumber and carrot. Eleven filling varieties to choose from,
$2.50 each. Also on tap: Vietnamese coffee and exotic sodas. | 1044 S. Federal Blvd., 303-922-2129

Fish: The ahi egg rolls here burst with flavor and color slivers of pickled ginger, cabbage and carrots
nestled around a rosy jewel of ahi tuna wrapped in a won-ton skin and flash-fried. The rolls come
cut into four sections on a plate painted with wasabi cream, sriracha chile sauce and sweet soy sauce.
On the side, bright green sesame-seaweed salad and tobiko (wasabi-spiced caviar) complete the brilliant
palette. Fish owner Mike Reeves celebrates five years in businees today, and calls the $15.95 dish
“the best food can be.” We agree. | 150 W. Oak St., Fort Collins, 970-224-1188 | Kristen Browning-
