THE COLORADO JUDICIAL INSTITUTE: The 2006 Judicial Independence Award will be presented to recently retired Colorado Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Love Kourlis at a dinner Nov. 16. She now heads the new Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System at the University of Denver.
