money | Auction for a cause

Homeowners in search of bargains that are as easy on the conscience as well as the wallet should drop by Saturday’s public auction and garage sale sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver’s Remodelers Council. Builders and contractors will donate more than $70,000 worth of home improvement tools and supplies to be auctioned off at this annual fundraiser benefiting handicap accessibility renovations. The event begins Saturday at 8 a.m. under an event tent set up at 1700 S. Santa Fe Drive.

energy | Change a light

That’s the idea behind the Change a Light, Change the World campaign, a national call to action from the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Energy.
