Frontier Airlines’ stock dropped 11.5 percent Thursday after it reduced its second-quarter forecast, saying passenger travel had been hurt by heightened airport security after an alleged terrorist plot in Britain.
Frontier Airlines Holdings said it expects second-quarter earnings to range from 1 cent to 5 cents a share, down from its previous forecast of 10 cents a share, excluding the impact of unrealized fuel derivative gains and losses.
Frontier’s shares dropped $1.02 a share to close at $7.84 a share on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
